A special Spring soirée with a vintage theme. Enjoy Sunday afternoon in the company of like minds to travel into the past via the story of objects. Pick an object and dive into the bizarre and fascinating histories of river life and maritime exploits amidst daily life on the Lower Hawkesbury. Hearth, home, and living off the land. Meet your historyteller and be enchanted by a juicy story or two from the past. All this while sampling a fabulous high tea with an exclusive tea menu.

Max Burns-McRuvie is a Sydney historian and storyteller. Over the last 12+ years he has created and conducted historical walking tours in Sydney, Barcelona and Amsterdam. His focus has been reinterpreting the age of exploration, gaining a deeper understanding of the colonial age, animating the eccentricities of the Victorian age and digging up many juicy stories from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. He holds a masters of Museum and Heritage Studies from Sydney University.
